Justin Norman is a writer, director, animator, actor, editor, and music composer. He has written, edited, and/or directed over 45 short films, many of which are part of the award-winning Evil Grin Gift Box web series. His political short, NaziMaker, received over 600,000 views within three days of its publication, and has been shared by prominent commentators, including Joe Rogan, Ben Shapiro, and Dave Rubin. His animated short film, The Eye, won Runner Up Best Film in its category at Salute Your Shorts Fest in Los Angeles. His other award winning shorts include Note to Self (First Runner Up Best Film in Des Moines, Best Directing, Best Editing, Best Acting, Audience Choice), The Wash (First Runner Up Best Film in Chicago), The Breadwinner (Best Writing, Best Actor), Twig (Best Editing), Paved (Best Editing), and four Audience Choice award-winning shorts for the 48 Hour Film Project. He has also written, directed, and edited several human rights mini-documentaries, bringing light to issues like sweatshop labor, torture, and child homelessness. He composes under the Make Believe Machines moniker.
